Capacity Building Online Seminar: Microplastics in Lakes – Impacts and Approaches to Solutions
When? On the 3rd May 2022, 14.00 – 17.00 h CET
Where? Online via ZOOM
There is a great need for research on the topic of microplastics in water bodies. For this reason, seven partner organisations under the leadership of the Italian NGO Legambiente have launched the EU-Life project „Blue Lakes“ on this complex issue.
The LIFE Blue Lakes Capacity Building Online Seminar offers a scientific overview to actual issues regarding, microplastics in aquatic systems and especially the pollution of freshwater fishes. The seminar also presents approaches to reduce microplastics in transport infrastructure and finally why macroplastics are a main driver for (micro)plastic pollution and how practical and regulatory solutions may look like.
