Brochure – Microplastics: origins, effects and solutions
A problem for our waters
Floating in every square kilometre of our seas, lakes and rivers, microplastics
contaminate the soil, glaciers, food, animals and human beings. They are everywhere,
but it is very difficult to quantify the presence of this increasingly emerging pollutant,
resulting from human activities and impossible to completely remove. The impact on
the environment is high, while the negative effects on humans are still to be studied.
