Autumn microplastic sampling campaign at Lake Bracciano – Italy
After the summer campaign, today restarts the autumn sampling activitie on Lake Bracciano, coordinated by italian LIFE Blue Lakes project’partner ENEA.
During the last five years ENEA & Legambiente have monitored the microplastics of inland waters observing that is usefull start seasonal data collection campaigns in order to point out the variations of land inputs at different times of the year.
Therefore, the final objective is to collect data useful to develop a shared monitoring program in order to evaluate and manage the phenomenon of microplastics in lake basins and in the complex dynamics of exchange between terrestrial and aquatic environment.
